Peaceful Passage
Every Sol appointment is tailored to your pet and your family.
Following your visit, families may choose from three aftercare options: private cremation, communal cremation, or private care of remains. If you have questions about what's right for your situation, please don't hesitate to reach out before you book.

Some families prefer to care for their pet's remains themselves, and we fully support that choice. If you plan to bury your pet at home, California law requires burial on private property you own, at a depth of at least three feet, and away from any water sources. We recommend wrapping your pet in a natural, biodegradable material such as cotton or wool. Please check with your local municipality, as some cities and counties may have additional guidelines.
There is no fee for private care of remains.
Additional Services

Not sure if the time is right? A quality of life consultation gives you the space to ask questions, assess your pet's comfort, and make informed decisions. Each consultation includes a thorough evaluation and a written prescription for any recommended medications, which can be filled at your preferred pharmacy.

We offer a selection of memorial keepsakes to honor your pet's memory. When you book your appointment, you'll have the opportunity to browse and select any items you'd like included.

To ensure we can serve every family as fully as possible, a same-day or emergency appointment fee may apply for requests made within 24 hours. For families outside of our primary service area of Santa Barbara, Goleta, Montecito, Carpinteria, and Summerland, a small travel fee may be added based on distance. Any applicable fees will always be communicated transparently before your appointment is confirmed.
“The deepest love finds the courage to say goodbye.”
Our Process
-

01: Getting Started
Complete our intake form online with your pet's history, your aftercare preferences, and any keepsake selections. Request your preferred date and we'll confirm availability. All paperwork and payment is handled in advance so nothing stands between you and a peaceful goodbye.
-

02: The Day Of
On the day of your appointment, we arrive at your chosen location. We begin with a gentle subcutaneous sedation (similar to a vaccine) to ensure your pet is fully relaxed and comfortable before proceeding peacefully.
-

03: What Comes Next
If you have selected cremation, we will transport your pet with care following the appointment. If you have chosen private care of remains, your pet will be returned to you before we leave.
-

04: Coming Home
Private cremation ashes are returned to your family within 10 to 14 days, along with your Sol Remembrance Collection and any selected keepsakes.
